Culms (10-)20-50 cm tall, slender; rhizomes short to almost absent; leaf blade 1-2.5 mm wide; inflorescence a simple or compound anthela.
The native range of this species is Tropics & Subtropics. It is a perennial and grows primarily in the wet tropical biome. It is used as a medicine.
