Description:
Culms tufted, to 10 cm, slender to 0.5 mm wide, nodes glabrous. Leaf-sheaths 1-3.5 cm; blades linear, to 2 cm, involute, apex acuminate; ligule shortly membranous, 0.2 mm. Spike solitary, to 8 cm, slender, curved. Spikelets lanceolate, to 2 mm, sessile, secund, 1-flowered; rachilla disarticulating above the glumes not produced beyond lemma; glumes lanceoate-oblong, subequal, 1-nerved, keeled, cuspidate or acuminate; lower glume to 3 mm; upper glume to 2.5 mm; lemma ovate, to 1.5 mm, 3-nerved, 2-keeled; palea to 1.5 mm, 2-lobed, 2-keeled. Anthers 3, to 1.5 mm. Caryopsis oblong-ellipsoid, to 1.2 mm.
