Common Name The Nail-Like Egglingia

Found in Ivory Coast, Ghana, Gabon, Zaire, Rwanda and Malawi in riverine forestsat elevations of 900 to 1350 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a usually pendent stem enveloped by old and new leaf sheaths, the newer carrying distichous, linear-ligulate, dark green, unqually and obtusely bilobed and with a hair-like ligule apically, articulated to the leaf sheath base leaves that blooms in the fall from opposite the leaf axils all along the stem, short, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence.
