Found in Zimbabwe and Madagascar at elevations of sealevel to 1500 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial in stony ground or epiphyte with narrowly fusiform pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3 persistent, oval-lanceolate, acute leaves that blooms in the late spring on a thin, peduncle provided with 3 to 4 short, distant sheaths, 12" [30 cm] long overall, rachis 2 to 4" [5 to10 cm] long, loosely 10 to 15 flowered inflorescence with narrowly lanceolate,l acute floral bracts.
