Found in Tanzania, Malawi and Zimbabwe in submontane and riverine forests at elevations of 200 to 1900 meters as a large sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte or lithophyte with an elongate, pendant, often branching stem carrying many distichous, oblong, obtusely bilobed apically, dark green leaves that blooms in the fall and winter on arising from along the stem, several, 1.2 to 2.6" [3 to 6.5 cm] long, densely several to many flowered inflorescence
