Athalia incomta Konow

Athalia incomta Konow, 1908. Holotype in (SDEI). Type locality: Algoa Bay, Capland (Eastern Cape Province, South Africa).
Athalia xantha Benson, 1962. Holotype in (BMNH). Type locality: Weenan, Natal [KwaZulu-Natal Province], South Africa. Synonymy by Koch et al, in press.

Classification

Distribution

Botswana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

Biology

Adults were repeatedly observed on Selago dinteri Rolfe (Scrophulariaceae, Lamiales) on the plateau of the Waterberg (Koch et al. 2015). Based on biochemical analyses Opitz et al. (2012) determined plant species of Lamiales as host plants.
