Plant Care

Watering:
Staghorn Ferns like to be kept consistently moist but not wet. Water your plant when the top layer of soil feels dry to the touch. It's important not to water directly into the center of the fern, instead water around the base of the plant or soak it in a tray for a few minutes until the soil is evenly moist. We recommend measuring the moisture of the soil with a moisture meter.

Light:
Staghorn Ferns thrive in bright, indirect light. Place your fern in a spot with good light but avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the fronds. You can rotate your plant periodically to ensure that all sides of the fronds receive equal amounts of light.

Fertilizing:
Staghorn Ferns are not heavy feeders, but they benefit from occasional fertilization during their growing season (spring and summer). You can use a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength and apply it every month or so. Be careful not to over-fertilize, as this can damage the plant.

Repotting:
Staghorn Ferns do not need to be repotted often, but you may need to repot if the plant outgrows its container or if the soil has become compacted. Use a well-draining potting mix and a container with good drainage. When repotting, be careful not to damage the fern's delicate roots or fronds.
