Tree of 4m with a straight stem and horizontal branches. Has reddish-grey bark. Leaves are simple alternate. Flowers are small and green/yellow, but fruit is dark green to orange-red and is very showy and scented. Distribution: Central and Nyanza Regions. Grows in dry, evergreen and riverine forests. Use: building poles, wooden spoons and medicine.
