Lotus glinoides Delile, it is an annual (to perennating) herb, profusely branched, ascending or diffuse, pubescent with or without bulbous-based hairs, ± appressed to spreading. Upper leaflets obovate to oblong-obovate, 4-14 x 2-5 mm. Lower pair smaller, sub orbicular, sometimes suppressed. Flower 1-2 (-3), axillary with or without an inconspicuous peduncle, bracts 1-3, leaflet like, longer than calyx. Flowers small, 5-7 mm long, pink-purple. Calyx ± campanulate, teeth as long as tube, ± linear, almost equal. Corolla 1.5 times as long as calyx, standard pink, longer than wings and keel, wings pink, keel purple, with beak bent almost erect. Pods c. 20 (-23) x 1.5-2 mm, terete, ± curved towards the apex. Seeds 1 x 0.85 -1 x 0.7 – 0.75 mm, greenish ocher in color, matte, smooth, sub spherical or sub lenticular, finely dotted with black dots. Circular thread, practically pointed. Featured Lens, located at c. 0.2 mm of the thread.   Life Form: Th,   Flowering in: Feb-Mar,   Vern:————-,   Phytochoria: SS+SZ, The native range of this species is Macaronesia, Sahara to Pakistan.    Notes: Wild in Libya.
