A small tree up to 10 m tall or more; leaves ovate to ovate-oblong, 3–15 cm long, acute to acuminate at the apex, usually cordate or subcordate and inequilateral at base, pubescent with stellate hairs on both sides

Recognition
It is a rather useful tree: in addition to being resistant to drought, rope and twine can be made from the tough fibrous bark, the flowers are a good source of honey, and both the foliage and the immature fruits make nutritious fodder for cattle and other stock.
