SCLEROCHITON – TIPS FOR HOME GROWING
It is no coincidence that this exotic appeared in my collection several years ago - it was praised for its pleasant aroma..
A couple of years the stalk was gaining strength, was actively growing, but difficult to shape. I decided to twist it in the form of a liana in order to save space on the windowsill. The plant was gaining green mass, however did not bloom. This year in the spring I changed his location: moved from the east window to the south.
The pet clearly liked the sun, vegetative growth has stopped, but several flower buds appeared at once! About two months the buds "ripened" on a warm windowsill, until the pretty bluish flowers began to unfold. At first, the scent was not heard (not in the afternoon, not at night).
But when a few flowers bloomed, in the bright sun there was a distinct, quite intense smell. It reminded me of wildflowers on a sultry summer evening - tart and fresh at the same time., with hints of citrus. A great addition to my scent collection!
SCLEROCHITON: CARE TIPS
The plant is planted in a universal soil with the addition of a small amount of vermiculite and "Osmokot".
I water moderately, after the top layer of the earth has dried. Direct sunlight is required to stimulate flowering.
Hibernates at a temperature not lower than +20 city., without additional lighting.
