Aidia glabra is a gingerbread species that was first described by Theodoric Valeton, and became known as Colin Ernest Ridsdale. Aidia glabra is part of the Aidia family and family reunions. Aidia is a genus of flowering plants in the Rubiaceae family. It was described by João de Loureiro in 1790. It has a wide distribution area and occurs in tropical Africa, tropical and subtropical Asia and the western Pacific.
