Botany without its classical nature is empty though in the world of molecular systematic and biotech it tends to be a shadow of a mirror!!!!! yet the work about the past,fragmented study of this group and some one time collection of “Type species” tend to tantalize the ferny feeling and aspiration. Darjiling hill ,a segment of eastern Himalaya is a biodiversity hot spot .The flora of this region has been extensively studied but yet a vacuum has been there on the study of lower groups especially Algae,Fungi and ferns.
