HORTICULTURAL
Plant Sale Text: Piedmont staggerbush is a small shrub with arching stems and glossy deciduous foliage. In spring, racemes of pinkish buds become white urn shaped blooms similar to blueberry flowers. Despite its common name, this plant is far more common in the coastal plain than in the piedmont. It can be found in dry sandy or rocky woods. This plant was used by the Cherokee to treat skin conditions. The Lyonia genus supports up to 11 species of lepidoptera.
