Also known as californian lilac or spreading blue-blossom, ceanothus thyrsiflorus ‘skylark’ is a fantastic mound forming evergreen shrub with small bright green shiny leaves which become smothered in masses of deep azure blue flowers during late spring into summer.

Plant in well drained soil - and keep well watered until established. Prefers full sun but sheltered from winds.
Prune these immediately after flowering, using secateurs to cut back long, flowered shoots by 1/3rd to a half. If needed, you can lightly trim these plants again in late summer.
