ASCLEPIADS, CAUDICIFORMS & ALOES

Under almost any small acacia tree surrounding Matebele are hundreds of Piaranthus atrosanguineus, a couple of Huernia longituba, and one Duvalia polita and Orbea tapscottii, and having a few stapeliads in our garden that grow very well I decided to expand the selection, and now we have a huge range, all thriving in our hard rocky soil: Huernia longituba, Huernia aspera, Huernia transvaalensis, Huernia kennedyana, Huernia erinacea, Huernia volkartii, Huernia hystrix, Huernia levyi, Huernia piersii, Orbea dummeri, Orbea lutea, Orbea tapscottii, Orbea caudata subsp. Rhodesiaca, Orbea semota, Orbea laticorona, Orbea halipedicola, Orbea variegata, Orbea melanantha, Orbea subterania, Piaranthus atrosanguineus, Piaranthus cornuta, Stapelia gettliffei, Stapelia gigantea, Stapelia leendertziae, Hoodia lugardii, and Duvalia polita

I also noticed some Ceropegias, and a Pterodiscus ngamicus, so I’ve added a small caudiciform section to the garden with some Adeniums, Pachypodiums, and Cyphostemma juttae.
