The stem is erect, branched. The leaves are alternate, light green or yellowish-green, pinnately dissected. Blooms from July to October. The flowers are collected in pyramidal panicles located at the top of the stems. The fruit has the shape of a lentil.

The steam is branched. The leaves are alternate, planted on petioles, blunt, pinnately pointed with a blunt-toothed edge, simpler to the tip, often whole-edged. The flowers are small bisexual, collected in pyramidal paniculate inflorescences.

Flowering plants from July to August. Pollination usually occurs under the influence of wind. Fruiting occurs in August, lasts until September.
Seeds less than 1 mm in diameter, black-brown shiny, covered with easily separated variegated pericarp.

The medicinal raw material is the aboveground part of the plant. The grass is harvested during flowering. Dry in the shade, laying out a thin layer or in a well-ventilated room.
