Overwatered? Too much sun?

My snake plant has white/brown marks. I have it in a west window with no drainage. I do make sure it is dry though before watering. I forgot to post a pic of my last post.

What type of fertilizer should I use for this plant

Trunk was hollow, but 1 branch seemed healthy. Cut it off and put in water. Will it grow roots? Tips on getting it to root?

I feel like my dracena is not getting enough water. It was last watered on 4/29. But the soil is VERY dry and it is starting to drop leaves.
