Really nice photographs Hari ji
It is no wonder that plant is often confused with Rauvolfia serpentina. Thanks for showing this interesting plant.

sir thank u for the nice pictures of chassalia .i feel it could be more informative if u would have given us an opportunity to see photos of either fresh or dry roots of chassalia so that it will really help the ayurvedic pharmaceutical community to differentiate dry rauwolfia roots from  adulterated chassalia roots.
sir i want to know is there any herb helpful in producing even mild local anaesthetic effect ?have u come across with such a group of herbs in western ghats? please let me know.

Its was my pleasure to share this drug to all the members..

Dear Reddy ji...i take up your sincere suggestions for adding the
photos of the dry drugs of both these drugs...i promise that i will
take the necessary steps to get the photos of both the roots to the
members of this forum...Also i understand the importance of it...as
you had rightly said about its usefulness...
