Asystasia gangetica (L.) Anderson

Perennial scrambling herb. Leaves ovate, 2.5-10 cm long. Flowers prolific in onesided clusters, blue or white, about 2.5 cm long, 3 cm wide, with spreading lobes. Fruit capsule 2.5 cm long.

India, Malay Peninsula, Africa

A groundcover or hanging basket plant that has become a pan-tropical weed; naturalised in Queensland.
