        Description
        Erect tufted herbs. Leaves to 11 x 0.3 cm, linear, apex acuminate, papillose. Scape to 15 cm long. Flower-head globose, 5-7 x 4-5 mm; bracts chestnut-brown, c. 3 mm across, broadly ovate to orbicular, mucronate, closely imbricating. Sepals 3, 3-4 mm long, median one broad, laterals curved. Petals 3, yellow; limbs 2.5-4 mm long, obovate, apex emarginate; claw to 3 mm long. Stamens 3; staminodes 3. Ovary to 2.5 mm long, oblong, 1-locular; style to 2 mm long. Capsule oblong. Seeds ellipsoid, ribbed.
