This imposing native tree was widely planted in large country gardens during the 19th century. In time the Bunya-bunya pine will grow 30-40 metres tall with a spread of 10-20 metres. The tree has a formal pyramid shape when young but becomes rounded with age. Leaves are glossy yew green. This tree should only be planted away from buildings in large country gardens as the cone weighs 5kg.
