Summary
The typification of the African endemic plant Ottelia exserta (Ridl.) Dandy (≡ Boottia exserta Ridl., Hydrocharitaceae) is discussed. Based on the protologue and consultation of original material, a specimen preserved in the herbarium at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew is designated as the lectotype.
