Abstract
The Imatong mountains (Fig. 6.1) lie on the Sudan-Uganda border between 3° 40’ and 4° 20′ N. latitude, and 32° 30’ and 33° 10′ E. longitude, rising to a height of 3187 m. in the peak of Mt Kinyeti. The vegetation of the higher parts is a northward extension of that of the East African mountains, and it was felt that a detailed description of the vegetation of the Imatongs would be of interest for comparison with that of other areas.
