This solanum should never dry out and likes high humidity of 70% or more.  It is a small vining species with bright green leaves that grows easily and relatively quickly. Grows better in rather shady places and can also tolerate cool temperatures. It grows firmly on almost any moist surface (even glass!) and forms a dense mat over time. However, it can easily be kept under control by pruning.
