It’s my 2nd inning at DCM Shriram LTD and I have completed 4 years today as Deputy Manager in Urea plant. One of the oldest plant on planet operating successfully with great safety records! It feels great to be a part of this wonderful organisation, especially when I am witnessing the long awaited changes in the organisation I wished to see. It’s not easy yo break the shackles, especially when you are an organisation about to complete 75 years! I have learnt from media that India is facing oxygen crisis at various hospitals beacuse of shortage of transportation infrastructure though we have sufficient poruduction capacity for medical oxygen. Can anyone confirm if we can use liquid Carbon Di Oxide tankers to transport Medical Oxygen? If so, we should explore this option for the same in the current crisis and covid pandamic. If this idea seems practical, I request you to kindly share this to the people in the industry/doctors/administrators and political leaders. We have many tankers transporting CO2 for the industrial use. May be some other cryogenic vehicles tranport other non hazardous substances. If these tankers can temporarily be used for transportation of medical oxygen, it can definitely help overcome the oxygen shortage in India and any other countries.
