Scientific Name: Jacquemontia ovalifolia
Family: Convolvulaceae
Description: This plant is considered a non-woody vine, that is able to form a mat 3-8 inches deep. Leaves are oval-shaped and flowers are pale blue or white. Typically flowers year round, but peaks in December through July.
Habitat: Indigenous to Hawaii, but native to Mexico, West Indies, and Africa. In Hawaii it is usually found in coastal areas especially on the leeward side.
