Cordylines, also known as ti plants, are one of the best houseplants due to their vibrant and tropical look and ease of care. For the outdoors, they can be kept in the ground in zones 9-11 but can be kept in pots and then brought indoors for the cooler temperatures and winter in any zone. This is the harlequin cordyline variety, which has leaves streaked with shades of reds, yellows, pinks and greens.
