Description: Large straight, vertically growing herb, with almost square and grooved stem.Opposite-Decussate leaves on a long petiole.Nearly cordate leaf with serrate margin. Base of leaf is at right angle to petiole. New leaves look very elegant.Main axis of the plant grows vertically, bearing cluster like inflorescence intermittently. Flowers are arranged in spherically round the stem. Couple of lanceolate leaves (or bract) are observed below the cluster.Bright orange, tubular, furry flowers emerge out of a very sharp, spiny, bilabiate calyx.
