pubescent, leaves sub-bipinnately parted; pinnæ distant, leaflets petiolate, ovate, lanceolate or trifid or 3 toothed, the segments mucronulate; panicles shorter than the leaf; flower buds ovate, acute; sepals spreading, lanceolate-acuminate; filaments hairy at base; anthers glabrous, linear. A rambling climber, more glabrous than C. brachiata, with less compound leaves, and readily known from other Cape species by its lanceolate sepals, and pointed and slightly twisted flower buds.
