Information
Much branched glabrous annual or short-lived perennial herb, to 50 cm high. Leaves sessile, lanceolate, 1–3.5 x 0.2–0.4 cm, margin entire. Cymes in terminal umbels with 3 or more rays, forking many times, with rays 0.5–4 cm long, some rays occasionally becoming branch-like and developing leaves; bracts sessile, deltoid or sometimes 3-lobed, 1–2.5 x 0.5–1 cm. Cyathia 2 mm in diam., yellowish green; glands 4, spreading, 1–1.5 mm broad, with 2 horns 0.5–1 mm long. Styles erect, 1.5–2 mm long, joined at the base, with bifid, slightly thickened apices. Capsule exserted on a recurved pedicel 2.5 mm long, deeply 3-lobed, 3.5 x 4 mm. Seeds oblong-ovoid, 2.3 x 1.5 mm, smooth, shiny black, grey or brown-speckled, with a vertical ventral line and a knob-like caruncle 0.5 mm across.
