Morphology General Habit
Stems numerous, prostrate, radiating from a strong perennial taproot, forming a mat, 10–80 cm long, rooting at the nodes, finely pubescent, glabrescent.
Morphology Leaves
Leaves 3-foliolate; terminal leaflet somewhat larger than the laterals, 5–55× 2–10 mm, narrowly elliptic-oblong to elliptic or slightly obovate, obtuse, rounded or emarginate at the tip, subglabrous to thinly appressed pubescent, glabrescent; petiole a little shorter to longer than the terminal leaflet; stipules paired, one smaller than the other, the larger 3–10 mm long, lanceolate, attenuate.
Morphology Reproductive morphology Inflorescences
Inflorescences leaf-opposed, often on short shoots, erect, mostly subumbelliform, sometimes 1–2 flowers below the others, 2–23 cm long, 6–20-flowered; bracts 2–3 mm long, linear to linear-oblanceolate; bracteoles smaller.
Morphology Reproductive morphology Flowers Calyx
Calyx 3.5–4 mm long; lateral lobes broadly triangular, ± half as long as the tube, at least thinly pubescent.
Morphology Reproductive morphology Flowers Corolla
Standard yellow, often pale, a little shorter than the keel; keel 8–9 mm long, obtuse.
Morphology Reproductive morphology Fruits
Pods becoming deflexed, 8–10 × 2 mm, narrowly oblong, slightly curved, pubescent, c. 8–10-seeded.
Morphology Reproductive morphology Seeds
