Morphology General Habit
Herb with a creeping rhizome; aerial stem 0–15 mm. tall, c. 5 mm. thick, with very short internodes, subglabrous.

Leaves spirally arranged, subrosulate; lamina suborbicular to ovate, 3–5 x 3–5.5 cm., papyraceous, apex rounded, base cordate; margin repand to sinuate; both surfaces appressed-puberulous; lateral veins 5–6 pairs; petiole 3–5 cm. long, 1–1.5 mm. thick, appressed-puberulous; stipules subtriangular, c. 2.5 mm. long, ± persistent.
