Finished Melpomene’s new sheet! I really love working on Melpomene, because so much of her aesthetic is just stuff that I liked as a melodramatic, kinda pretentious, teenager. The black and red color scheme, the corset, the general spookiness, it’s all stuff I just loved in my teen angst phase (and now).
I tweaked the design of her outfit a little, straightened her hair a bit. I decided to give her some earrings that look like swords, as that is one of her symbols, and some boots with laces to be a little more of a callback to the cothurnus boots that she is often depicted with.
I did not update her mask because honestly I’m still super proud of how it came out.
