I saw my first Ruspolia last year. The clusters of pink flowers with deeper pink specks were gorgeous but it was impractical to get one.
Then a couple of months ago, I saw it again. This time, it was at a local floral festival and I wasn’t about to let the Ruspolia slip through my fingers.
The Ruspolia is now growing alongside the Otacanthus Caeruleus and Pseuderanthemum Anndersonii or Blue Twilight.
The Ruspolia is a free-flowering plant with a compact habit, growing up to a meter tall.
This perennial is a great addition to the flower bed and is especially lovely when juxtaposed with the blues of the otacanthus and plumbago.

Just when I thought things can’t get any better, I’ve discovered that there are red and salmon variants as well. How marvellous!
