Product Description

Ammania Senegalensis is a new plant to the hobby whose red leaves make a captivating fore or mid-ground contrast to green foliage. This plant grows wavy-edged oval leaves alternating up its stem. The leaves are brightly colored and can display a range of coloration patterns, usually with dark, brick red being the predominant hue. Green, orange, yellow also tend to feature in this plant’s coloration. To get the most desirable color and growth, you must provide high lighting and rich nutrient levels. High iron content will bring out more red tones in the plant. CO2 injection is not required for the cultivation of this plant but can help it grow more robustly. The plant can be grown submersed or emersed.

The plants came quickly, very well packaged, and took off almost immediately. Minimal melt (which was a pleasant surprise as they seemed to be emersed cut stems). My tank looks absolutely amazing. The prices can't be beat and how many individual stems are in a single bunch was astounding. I expected only like 4 stems based on when I've ordered bunches of plants from other sellers in the past. I'll definitely be ordering more from this seller in the future when I'm working on another tank setup.

The plants, two different kinds, that I received were about two inches in length. I could Barely Get them to stay in the substrate with having a little bit above the substrate line. One set totally turned black and dissolved. The other two buddles were fine. I went to petco and baught the same plants three time the same for half the price.
