Russell Scott's profile

Landbots, Niassa Reserve,

In Northern Mozambique the rains start during November and December and this is when most of the bulbs produce their flowers. I thought this would be a good time and place to attempt to photograph these interesting plants and include their unique environment.
I was driven around and assisted and by my brother, Mike Scott of Khangela Safaris, and was tolerated by Niassa legend, Derek Littleton, at his concession at the Niassa Reserve on the Lugenda river.
Thanks to Dr David J Goyder, Africa & Madagascar Research Leader – Herbarium – Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, for the identification of the specimens.
