Quaqua swanepoelii in habitat

The rare Stapeliad Quaqua swanepoelii has a very restricted distribution and is mainly limited to the area around Calvinia and Loeriesfontein (the so-called "Nieuwoudtville Plateau" in the Northern Cape, South Africa).

This Quaqua was seen flowering in habitat about 15km South of Loeriesfontein (making it one of the most northerly sightings of Quaqua swanepoelii up to date).

This Quaqua was seen flowering in habitat about 25km North-West of Calvinia.
