Phlomis fruticosa

Jerusalem Sage

Semi-evergreen Perennial

A top notch, drought tolerant perennial that's tough, easy to grow, and looks great in a sunny spot for months on end. Spring to summer blooms in distinctive whorls on tall stems attract bees and butterflies and the dried seed heads create an interesting architectural effect. Wooly gray foliage is evergreen, but best cut back in early season to allow for fresh foliage to take its place and create a more attractive and tidy clump.
