Bulbine features showy spikes of orange star-shaped flowers with yellow eyes rising above the fleshy green leaves from mid spring to early fall.
Orange Stalked Bulbine will grow about 18 inches tall at maturity extending to 24 inches tall with the flowers, with a spread of 5 feet.
Orange Stalked Bulbine is a fine choice for the garden. It makes a nice succulent ground cover. It is also a good selection for planting in outdoor pots and containers.
These plants prefer full sun, but they will also grow in semi-shade for part of the day. Although it will grow indoors, it requires maximum light.
It is somewhat tolerant of urban pollution.
The flowers are excellent for cutting.
