It is a very easy-to-root, easy-to-grow herb in the mint family Lamiaceae. (Not edible.)
Once established, this plant is drought-tolerant. It prefers part sun, but I’ve also grown it in shade with decent results. I've never seen aphids or other pests on it.
It has intensely fragrant foliage that smells skunky, like marijuana. Most people aren't bothered by the smell, but it has a reputation for repelling dogs and cats (hence the nickname) and keeping them out of your prized plants. Native to east Africa and south Asia.

To be fair, we live in the same state as the seller so this will account in some degree for how crazy fast we received the item, but, far beyond this, the seller deserves ten stars and more! I have never seen succulent clippings look so fresh in my life! I mean the attention to detail in just the way they were so carefully packaged, alone, was above and beyond! Add to this, the incredible service: the professional and friendly manner in which the seller responded to messages and the fact the seller sent out care instructions and valuable information on the plant promptly after the order and before shipment arrived. And it was very sweet also because the seller included two mini succulents of different types as a little gift. Thank you!
