Aloiampelos ciliaris, aka Aloe ciliaris, the common climbing-aloe, is a rapidly growing succulent plant from South Africa. They can grow 30 feet +, if outdoor, and, it tends to grow smaller indoor. They grow easily, an ideal plants for beginners. Climbing aloe is known for attracting bees and birds that enrich your garden.

The #1 aloe has white spots or patches on leaves and white powdery substance on leaves and stem.

# 2 Climbing Aloe has no white patches and powdery white substance compared to #1. It’s green color is darker than #1.

Both are named “ciliaris” due to the hair-like teeth appearing around the edges of the leaves. They have striking, orange-red drooping flowers that can bloom at any time of the year, usually in the spring. It’s ideal for trailing along fences or trellises. Indoor it’s beautiful in the corner part of the house.
