This plant is easy to grow and makes a great Houseplant, frost free greenhouse bulb or grown outside in subtropical/Mediterranean gardens, though must be overwintered inside in temperate areas. It does well in drier well drained sites in full sun, but is quite tolerant of other soil types and moisture. It produces long lance-shaped lush green leaves, growing to around 40cm high and readily increases via offsets to form a nice clump. The bulbs are best planted with the necks of the bulbs exposed above soil. They can be watered and kept growing consistently through the year but can adapt to periods of dryness in Mediterranean climes. The Cream - White Sweetly Scented flowers are long and tubular with recurved tips, extending to around 5cm long, long lasting flowering period sweetly fragrant blooms from July - February in southern hemisphere, though this can be changed if adapted to different regime.
