Synsepalum dulcificum (Miracle Fruit) Fruit Which Contain Seeds

April 20, 2022 Note: We have had reports of poor germination when shipping cleaned seeds of Synsepalum dulcificum even when just a week or so old.  We have heard they get good germination results only when planted immediately after removing the seeds from the fruit.  So, we are no longer offering cleaned the seeds.  We are offering fresh fruit which contain viable seeds.  Do NOT expect to eat the fruit, the pulp will likely be starting to ferment/rot.  But the seeds should be good to germinate.  We will only ship fruit that are picked within 48 hours of picking them.  So, not international sales, domestic USA shipping only.

Fruits at 2-6 years old at 18"+ tall, mature trees are likely freeze tolerant to the mid 20's.  Pleasant mild berry flavor that tastes a bit like artificial sweetener.  The berry is grown for miraculin, a protein contained that changes the consumers taste buds for 30-60 minutes where everything sour tastes sweet.  One can eat a lemon like an orange without puckering.  Many growers freeze the fruit and eat one before eating another fruit that was picked a little early or is naturally tart.  Host a fun "flavor tripping party" with friends and family and pass around different sour fruits to every one's amazement.  2 berries needed typically for effects.
