Blooming over a long season, Euryops pectinatus (Golden Shrub Daisy) is an evergreen, upright shrub with finely divided gray-green leaves. Blooming almost year-round in mild winter climates, long-stalked bright yellow daisies, 2 in. across (5 cm), stand out against the feathery foliage. Golden Shrub Daisy attracts many visitors, including bees and butterflies. Native to South Africa, Golden Shrub Daisy is fast-growing, easy to care for, pest and disease-free, and seaside tolerant. It is an excellent garden subject and it makes a good filler, background plant, or low screen.

  • Recipient of the prestigious Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society.
  • Grows up to 3-6 ft. tall and wide (90-180 cm).
  • Performs best in full sun in moderately fertile, well-drained soils. Tolerates some shade but the best flower production occurs in full sun. Requires occasional to little summer water once established.
  • No serious pest or disease issues.
  • Cut off dead flowerheads after flowering and prune the bush back lightly.
  • Great for beds and borders, cottage gardens, coastal gardens, Mediterranean gardens, and containers.
  • Propagate by seed at 50-55°F (10-13°C) in spring or root softwood cuttings in late spring, semi-hardwood cuttings in summer.
  • Native to South Africa.
