Libocedrus plumosa as known as the New Zealand Incense Tree is an evergreen coniferous tree that can be used for topiary.
It has a columnar growing habit and thin grey bark that sheds in ribbons.
The leaves are scale-like and are a light to lime green when grown in full sun, otherwise dark green in low light conditions.
A good conifer for low light situations, however the tree will tend to be much narrower as the branches will tend to grow upwards almost parallel to the trunk.
