Freak® is a modern variety of Shasta daisy with large, semi-double, pure white flowers with rich yellow centres. It is an ultimate showstopper when it begins blooming in late May or early June = much earlier than others from the same family. Leaves are deep green, glossy, finely serrated at margins. Deadheading and fertilizing once in two weeks will prolong flowering until August.

Freak® Shasta daisy was hybridized by Henrikus Stemkens from the Netherlands in 2007 and patented under PP23,426 in 2012 as Leuz0001.

Shasta daisy is widely soil adaptable provided the soil is evenly moist but well-drained. Still, we recommend growing it in humus-rich soil where the number of flowers and overall plant appearance will be better. Fully hardy to about -30°C (USDA zone 5).
