Pterocarpus indicus

Pterocarpus indicus Willd.

Commonly refer to as Burmese Rosewood, the species originated from India and is exotic to Hong Kong.

The short-lived annual blooming season only lasts for a period of two to three days, when it paints the roadside with a vibrant brush of ephemeral yellow.

The tree was preserved in-situ.
