"Annual erect herbs to 1 m tall, whole plant densely brown hirsute. Leaves imparipinnate; leaflets 5-11, opposite, 1-2 x 0.5-1 cm, elliptic-oblong or obovate, base rounded to attenuate, apex obtuse, hirsute on both sides; stipules 0.8-1 cm long, filiform, hairy. Flowers c. 5 mm long, in axillary many-flowered, 4-13 cm long, dense racemes. Calyx tube c. 1 mm long; lobes c. 4 mm long, subulate, hirsute. Petals brick-red; standard to 4 mm long, obovate, pubescent without. Ovary 2-3 mm long, cylindric, densely hairy; ovles many; style slightly curved; stigma capitate. Pods reflexed, 1-2 cm long, c. 2 mm wide, linear, subtetragonous, densely hirsute. Seeds 5-8, angular, pitted."
