Flowers cream and maroon trumpets 450mm long, 5 stamens - 4 developed, the anthers yellow with an orange waist when aging, like little bows, and 5th stamen reduced (3mm); fruits 4-winged pale green drying to brown 30mm long. Leaves glandular, margins with a few large teeth,3 veins from near the leaf base, petiolate; leaf axils with obvious, large, round, black glands.
